AI Capability, Maturity & Target Operating Model

Use structured assessment, including AIF7™ where appropriate, to distinguish missing evidence, capability constraints, accountability gaps and practical investment priorities.

01The problem

A maturity score does not tell you what to fix.

Assessments often produce an average score and a generic roadmap. Leaders usually need something narrower: which missing evidence, capability constraints or accountability gaps are blocking a specific decision or programme, and which investments would remove them.

02What ARVEC does

The design and engineering work

  • Baseline assessment, using AIF7™ where it fits, scoped to the relevant capabilities and lifecycle stages
  • Evidence collection from documents, interviews and systems, with an explicit “not evidenced” status
  • Gap and root-cause analysis that separates symptoms from constraints
  • Responsibility mapping: decision rights, control owners and escalation paths
  • Target operating model options and a prioritised roadmap

04Applications

Where this applies

Typical applications by sector, not descriptions of completed engagements.

Banking & Financial Services
Readiness to move AI-assisted workflows into production under existing model-risk and operational-risk arrangements.
International Trade, Logistics & Supply Chain
Whether document and data foundations can support automated verification.
Cross-Industry Enterprise AI
Programme-level reviews before scaling beyond pilots.

05Responsibilities

Boundaries and human review

AIF7™ is ARVEC’s proposed assessment framework, not a certification, benchmark or regulatory standard. Scores require evidence, and findings inform the client’s own investment and governance decisions.

06Prior experience

Selected experience of our founders. Prior professional experience of ARVEC’s founders, before ARVEC AI’s incorporation. Not ARVEC client engagements; organisation and product names omitted.

Enterprise AI capability assessment

Banking · Prior independent architecture assignment

Designed and executed an enterprise-wide AI capability assessment spanning technical, product, governance, risk and business roles. Combined structured scoring, capability heatmaps and gap analysis to inform investment priorities and operating-model recommendations.
